Presented by BBC Introducing in Kent, as part of their stage takeover at Compass Festival 2026: Annia is an Antiguan singer-songwriter and guitarist now based in Ramsgate, whose powerful voice, honest storytelling and magnetic live presence are introducing a distinctly Caribbean sound to new audiences across the UK. Blending soul, reggae, indie-folk and Caribbean influences, Annia creates music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. Her debut live album, *Trials*, is rooted in vulnerability, resilience and self-discovery, capturing the raw connection at the heart of her performances. Since arriving in the UK, Annia’s journey has quickly gained momentum. She has performed alongside legendary jungle artist Congo Natty, appeared at Uprising Festival in Bratislava and Reggae Land, and performed at Marlborough House in London. Her original music has also received growing support from BBC Introducing, helping introduce her sound to audiences across Kent and beyond. Whether commanding a festival stage or performing with nothing more than her guitar and voice, Annia has a rare ability to make a room listen.
