WE ARE IO! We are an all female four piece alternative/punk rock band based in Kent. Inspired by both our childhood music and classic artists across time, we merge the two worlds in a clash of alternative Y2K feminist punk rock. Think Britney... with tasty guitar licks, gut-busting drums, and a dash of female rage! We just wanna bring you a good time. Lose your inhibitions and live out your childhood dreams, come dance with us and be who you truly are. Our music is all about telling it how it is, with a little bit of humour and a lotta awesome sound. Ellis, the green eyed-renegade, is our lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Lucy is our voodoo vixen killer lead guitarist and backing vocals. Ella is our supreme bass queen. Katrina is our fierce whirlwind drummer. Together we are girl band IO!
